Swirl Granted Patent for Beacon-Powered Mobile Marketing
Supports Ability of Retailers and Brands to Deliver Location-Targeted Mobile Content to In-Store Shoppers

BOSTON, MA – Swirl Networks Inc., the leading beacon marketing platform provider, announced today that it has been issued a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office that secures its innovations in the burgeoning field of beacon marketing. The U.S. patent No. 8,781,502 B1, titled “Systems and Methods for Display of Supplemental Content Responsive to Location,” describes the technology and processes for using beacons to trigger delivery of targeted content to a mobile device based on a user’s location.
